The challenge
Integrating renewable energy in rural areas is more effective when household energy use is well understood and efficient. Baseline information on consumption is needed to target improvements and support integration.
Our approach
As Energy Auditor, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo audited energy consumption in rural households in the Techiman North District. The work identified energy-efficiency improvements aimed at supporting renewable-energy integration.
Outcomes
The audit highlighted efficiency measures for rural households and informed the path towards integrating renewable energy in the district.
