Climate solutions, rooted in Africa
CLEEN — the Climate, Ecosystems, Energy & Sustainability Network — is a Pan-African sustainability consultancy that bridges evidence-based research and on-the-ground action. We work with national governments, municipal authorities, civil society, and the private sector to design, finance, and deliver climate and sustainability programmes that are technically rigorous and deeply contextualised to African landscapes, economies, and communities.

We begin every engagement by immersing ourselves in context — consulting local stakeholders, reviewing policy environments, and conducting rigorous baseline assessments to understand the real constraints and opportunities.

Solutions are co-designed with governments, communities, and implementing partners. We combine global best practice with place-based insight to produce strategies that are technically sound, politically feasible, and culturally grounded.
Deliver & Measure
Implementation is supported by robust monitoring frameworks, capacity-building programmes, and adaptive management. We track outcomes against agreed indicators and report transparently to all stakeholders.

Rev. Prof. Ing. Eric Antwi Ofosu (PhD)
Principal Advisor, Water, Energy & Climate Resilience
Rev. Prof. Ing. Eric Antwi Ofosu is a civil engineer and Associate Professor at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), where he founded and led the Regional Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability (RCEES). He holds a PhD in Integrated Water Resources Management from UNESCO-IHE and TU Delft, and brings over two decades of experience spanning hydropower, dam safety, water and sanitation, and solar energy. He has delivered feasibility studies and IWRM mandates for the African Development Bank, the World Bank, GIZ and the Government of Ghana, and is a certified Project Management and Sustainable Energy Management Professional.

Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo (PhD)
Energy Systems & Modelling Lead
Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo is an energy systems engineer specialising in energy modelling, demand-side management, and the climate–land–energy–water nexus. He earned his PhD in Sustainable Energy Systems through the MIT Portugal Program at Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, and serves as a Senior Lecturer at UENR, a Research Theme Leader at RCEES, and a Research Affiliate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). A Certified Energy Auditor, he has advised the African Union Commission, the European Commission, GIZ and national governments on renewable-energy policy, energy efficiency and low-carbon electricity planning across Ghana, Sierra Leone and Cameroon, and publishes widely on Africa’s energy transition.

Romeo Tweneboah-Koduah
Research & Policy Consultant — Water, Energy & Climate
Romeo Tweneboah-Koduah is an environmental engineer and policy practitioner with seven years of applied experience across water resources, clean energy, electric mobility, climate policy and sustainable finance in Ghana, West Africa and the wider Global South. A PhD candidate in Environmental Engineering and Management at UENR and a Research Consultant to the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), he leads technical analysis, hydrological and water-accounting modelling, and GIS and remote-sensing work alongside stakeholder engagement and capacity building for partners including the European Union, UNEP, the World Bank, UKRI, KfW, BMZ, FCDO and the ClimateWorks Foundation. He specialises in translating complex technical and regulatory content into decision-ready strategies, investor-facing frameworks and training programmes.

Dr Benjamin Batinge
Systems Modelling & Climate Finance Lead
Dr Benjamin Batinge is a systems modeller and climate-finance specialist whose expertise spans system dynamics modelling and simulation, energy systems modelling, climate mitigation and adaptation impact modelling, and economic and financial viability analysis. He holds a PhD in Public and Development Management from Stellenbosch University and an MPhil in System Dynamics from the University of Bergen, and is a Research Fellow at UENR’s Regional Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability (RCEES). He has led climate-resilience and climate-finance modelling for the Africa Finance Corporation, the Green Climate Fund, UNDP, UNEP, DNV and national governments — work that has helped mobilise hundreds of millions of dollars in approved climate finance across Africa.

Ransford Wusah Bakuri
Water Resources & Hydrology Lead
Ransford Wusah Bakuri is a civil and environmental engineer specialising in spatial hydrology, hydrological modelling and integrated water resources management. A PhD candidate in Environmental Engineering and Management at UENR and a Research Consultant to the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), he works at the intersection of water, climate adaptation and hydropower — applying GIS and remote sensing, machine learning and tools such as SWAT to model water availability and the impacts of climate change. A Professional Engineer (GhIE) and certified project and safety professional, he has co-developed more than ten funded research proposals and serves as Regional Secretary of the West African Centres of Excellence in Energy Network (WACEENET).
