Africa Climate Week 2026: Accelerating Ambition

Africa Climate Week 2026, convened by the UNFCCC in partnership with the African Union Commission and hosted by the Government of Rwanda, brings together climate negotiators, ministers, civil society leaders, scientists, and the private sector to advance Africa's climate ambitions ahead of COP31.
CLEEN is a co-organising partner for this year's event and will convene three deep-dive technical sessions on Article 6 implementation, adaptation finance, and climate-resilient infrastructure investment. CLEEN experts will also present findings from our 2025-2026 continental vulnerability assessment.
The week will feature a dedicated Ministerial Dialogue on African Climate Finance, a youth innovation lab, and a marketplace connecting African project developers with international investors. Participation is open to registered delegates; CLEEN is offering a limited number of sponsored places for emerging African climate professionals.
