RCEES Energy Transformation Strategies Research Theme
Leadership of a research theme on energy transformation strategies for shifting from conventional supply systems towards renewable power generation.
The challenge
Transitioning from established fossil-based supply systems to renewable power generation is a complex, long-term undertaking that requires structured research to guide policy and investment. Clear strategies are needed to understand how such a transformation can be delivered in practice.
Our approach
As Research Theme Leader at the Regional Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo leads the research theme on energy transformation strategies. The work focuses on how supply systems can move from current generation towards renewable power.
Outcomes
The theme provides a coordinated research base on energy transformation, informing the pathways by which the region can shift towards renewable generation.
