Monitoring, evaluation and specialised technical support to help the RCEES Africa Centre of Excellence perform among the strongest in the ACE Impact programme.
The challenge
Africa Centres of Excellence are assessed against demanding performance targets, and sustaining a top-performing centre requires rigorous monitoring and evaluation alongside strong technical capacity for teaching and research.
Our approach
As Senior Technical Officer, Ransford Wusah Bakuri provided monitoring-and-evaluation support to help deliver a top-performing ACE Impact centre.
He also delivered technical assistance in geographic information systems, remote sensing, machine learning and hydrological modelling using the SWAT model, supporting both teaching and research at the centre.
Outcomes
The monitoring-and-evaluation work supported the RCEES centre in ranking among the strongest performers in the ACE Impact programme.
The GIS, remote-sensing, machine-learning and hydrological-modelling support strengthened the centre's teaching and research capability.
