ProREG: Professional Education for Renewable Energy in Ghana
Development of frameworks to address Ghana's renewable-energy labour-market gap, integration of practice-relevant modules into UENR curricula and management of project communications.
The challenge
Ghana's renewable-energy sector faces a labour-market gap between the skills graduates hold and those employers need. Closing this gap calls for curricula that are practice-relevant and for clear communication to build the project's visibility and reach.
Our approach
As Research Consultant, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo developed frameworks and strategies to address the renewable-energy labour-market gap and supported the integration of practice-relevant renewable energy modules into UENR curricula.
As Senior Technical Officer and Project Communications Specialist, Romeo Tweneboah-Koduah managed the project's communications and external visibility, ensuring the work reached its intended audiences.
Outcomes
The project delivered frameworks to tackle the renewable-energy skills gap and helped embed practice-relevant modules into UENR's curricula.
Coordinated communications gave the project external visibility and supported engagement with stakeholders.
