LBNL Demand-Side Management & Energy Efficiency Research Affiliation
Research affiliation developing methods for peak-demand reduction, energy-efficiency policy, long-term supply and demand modelling and emissions mitigation.
The challenge
Managing peak electricity demand and reducing emissions require rigorous methods to estimate the potential of demand response and energy-efficiency measures. Robust modelling is essential to test policies and mitigation pathways before they are deployed at scale.
Our approach
As a Research Affiliate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo develops methodological approaches for estimating peak-demand reduction through demand response. His work also covers innovative energy-efficiency policies, long-term supply and demand modelling, and emissions mitigation pathways.
Outcomes
The affiliation contributes methods for quantifying demand-side potential and emissions reduction, supporting evidence-based energy-efficiency and demand-response policy.
