LBNL Building 90 Electricity Efficiency Potential Audit

LBNL Building 90 Electricity Efficiency Potential Audit

EnergyLawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL)Berkeley, California, USA2019

Electricity-efficiency potential study assessing technical and economic savings and modelling end-use with the Bottom-Up Energy Analysis System (BUENAS).

The challenge

Realising energy savings in a building requires distinguishing the technically possible from the economically worthwhile. Rigorous end-use modelling is needed to quantify this potential reliably.

Our approach

As Energy Auditor, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo conducted an electricity-efficiency potential study of Building 90. He assessed technical and economic savings and modelled end-use with the Bottom-Up Energy Analysis System (BUENAS).

Outcomes

The study quantified the technical and economic electricity-savings potential of the building and demonstrated end-use modelling with BUENAS.
