The challenge
Building a major thermal power plant demands rigorous inspection to ensure that construction, logistics and instrumentation match the approved designs. Errors at this stage can compromise the safety and reliability of critical generation infrastructure.
Our approach
As Electrical/Instrumentation and Control Site Inspector during National Service, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo reviewed gas-turbine design drawings. He inspected construction, logistics and instrumentation for the 230MW Alstom gas thermal power plant and its supporting structures.
Outcomes
The inspection work supported quality assurance during construction of the thermal power plant, helping ensure that the built works aligned with the design.
