Large campus buildings can drive significant electricity demand, especially during winter peaks. Understanding these patterns is essential to designing mechanisms that shift or reduce consumption at peak times.
Our approach
As Energy Auditor, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo audited high-intensity buildings on the Alameda campus to understand winter demand patterns. He worked to develop mechanisms to influence energy use during peak periods.
Outcomes
The audit clarified winter peak-demand patterns on campus and informed measures to manage energy use during peak periods.
