The challenge
Disadvantaged island communities often face limited energy access, and solutions are stronger when they reflect gendered perspectives on innovation. Advancing energy access here requires strategies attuned to these communities and to inclusive design.
Our approach
As Research Consultant, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo developed an energy-access strategy for disadvantaged island communities. The work sat within a programme building capacity for gendered innovation in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.
Outcomes
The work delivered an energy-access strategy for disadvantaged island communities and contributed to the programme's aim of strengthening gendered innovation in STEAM.
