Energy & Environment Lectureship, University of Energy and Natural Resources

EnergyUniversity of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR)Sunyani, Ghana2014

Teaching, student supervision and curriculum development in energy systems within UENR's Department of Energy and Environment.

The challenge

Ghana's growing energy sector needs a pipeline of well-trained engineers and researchers who can address the technical and environmental challenges of a modernising power system. Building that capacity depends on strong teaching and relevant, up-to-date curricula at the tertiary level.

Our approach

As Lecturer and later Senior Lecturer, Dr Felix Amankwah Diawuo teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students in energy systems. He also contributes to curriculum development within the Department of Energy and Environment, helping keep programmes aligned with the needs of the sector.

Outcomes

The work supports the training of successive cohorts of energy specialists and the continued refinement of departmental curricula, strengthening the university's contribution to energy and environmental education in Ghana.
