Digital Innovations for Water-Secure Africa
Research consultancy with IWMI applying AI and digital innovations to water security — improving water reuse and advancing digital tools for water-secure development across Africa.
The challenge
Africa’s water security depends increasingly on better data and digital tools — to monitor resources, improve reuse and support decisions. Turning emerging AI and data innovations into usable approaches for water management remains a frontier challenge.
Our approach
As Research Consultant to IWMI, Ransford Wusah Bakuri contributes to the Digital Innovations for Water-Secure Africa programme and to related work using AI and data innovations to improve water reuse.
The work applies hydrological modelling, geospatial analysis and machine learning to generate decision-ready insight for water managers and partner institutions.
Outcomes
The work strengthens the digital and analytical tools available for managing water across African basins.
It supports more efficient water reuse and evidence-based water-security decisions at scale.
